Steve Clark- WALKING & BICYCLING
PROGRAM MANAGER
Steve
started working for TLC in February
2006 and is implementing the federally funded
Non-Motorized
Transportation
Pilot Project. Steve brings a strong background
in bicycling and walking to the organization.
He was
the first manager of the bicycling and walking program
in Boulder Colorado and is a past president of
the League of
American Bicyclists. He also oversaw development of the
northern portion of the Ice Age trail in Wisconsin.
In addition, Steve has
written bike/pedestrian plans for many U.S. cities. Contact

Michelle Dibblee - SENIOR ORGANIZER
Transit for Livable Communities has hired Michelle Dibblee to be our new Senior Organizer. Michelle has worked for Transit for Livable Communities since February 2008 – her first day of work was the day the legislature over-rode the Governor’s veto of the transportation bill! Michelle leads TLC’s efforts to grow our membership base and strengthens member participation in hands-on advocacy and leadership development. |

Katie Eukel -COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Katie was hired as TLC's first communications manager in June 2006 and manages communications and media activities for TLC and its programs. Previously, Katie worked as a philanthropic communications consultant, providing strategic communications counsel to national foundations and nonprofit grantees. She also worked with PBS' The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer where she helped research and produce local, national, and international news pieces. Joan Pasiuk - DIRECTOR OF BIKE/WALK TWIN CITIES
Joan officially started working with Transit for Livable Communities in April 2007, but she's long been involved with the organization. She was a founding board member and recently served as the co-chair of TLC's Bike/Walk Advisory Committee. She has a background in program development and program management in government, non-profit, industry, and higher education. Most recently, Joan was the Director of Student Services for the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota. She currently serves on the board of Mississippi Market. Stacey Peacock - BUSINESS MANAGER
Stacey joined TLC in November 2007, after spending several years as the Accounts Payable Manager at Mississippi Market. She brings an extensive range of business and financial management experience: from Deputy City Auditor/Payroll Mgr for the City of Berkeley, Ca; to Business Manager for Reuben Lindh Learning Center, to Co-founder and Administrative Director of the Minnesota School of Acupuncture and Herbal Studies. She also owned and operated her own wilderness resort in Ely, MN, where she catered to non-motorized leisure activities and adventures. Steve Schultz - DEVELOPMENT & MEMBERSHIP MANAGER
Steve was hired as TLC’s first Development and Membership Manager in July 2008 and manages membership and development activities to support TLC’s programs. Previously, Steve worked for 13 years with Clean Water Action, most recently as the Membership Relations Director. There he directed all membership recruitment, development, fundraising and mobilizing efforts. Steve graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota in 2003, attaining a B.A. from the College of Liberal Arts. Lea Schuster - EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR
Lea was hired as TLC's first
full-time Executive Director in 2001. Lea formerly
served as Executive Director of the Minnesota
Public Interest Research Group (MPIRG),
Assistant
Director of the Sacramento AIDS Foundation,
and Program Coordinator for the national
fundraiser "Bike-Aid." Lea also
practiced labor and employment right law, representing non-profit entities.
She recieved her J.D. from University of
California, Davis, and B.A. in International
Relations from Stanford University. Contact

Jaméz Smith - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, BIKE/WALK TWIN CITIES
Jaméz joined TLC in August of 2007 as the Administrative Assistant for BWTC. A long-time bicyclist, Jaméz also has significant non-profit experience, including serving as Administrative Assistant for the Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative (TIHDI), Travel Coordinator for Walden House, Inc., and Data Collector/Prevention Counselor on a research study examining the connection between crystal meth and HIV infection, as conducted by Health Research Association in Los Angeles. An Honorably Discharged veteran, Jaméz studied Occupational Education via Southern Illinois University’s on-base Bachelor’s Degree Program, while stationed on McChord AFB in Washington State. Barb Thoman- PROGRAM
DIRECTOR
Barb
has been TLC’s program director since
2001. She co-founded TLC in 1996 with
former TLC Board member John DeWitt, and served
as its executive director until 2001. Barb
oversees research at TLC. She was the primary
author on TLC’s report, The Myth of
Free Parking, and she writes many of TLC’s
briefs and policy papers. She was also the
chief author on TLC’s Citizens’ Agenda
for Transportation, which was released in

Dave Van Hattum- POLICY
& ADVOCACY PROGRAM MANAGER
Dave
started working with TLC in January 2006. He will be working
with Lea and Barb to manage
education, advocacy, and outreach efforts to communities,
businesses,
and
public officials. Dave brings over
a decade of experience in crafting and promoting transportation policy and commuting options to TLC. He formerly worked as Executive Director
of 494 Commuter Services and was the Assistant Director
at the Downtown Minneapolis Transportation Management
Organization. Before that, he served as a Research
Fellow in Transportation Policy at the Humphrey Institute
for Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota,
where he also received a Master of Public Policy degree. Contact
