Amber Collett, Communications Associate

Amber CollettAmber joined Transit for Livable Communities in February, 2010.

She grew up in Iowa and came to Minnesota to attend St. Olaf College where she graduated with a double major in Environmental Studies and Russian Area Studies.

After graduation, Amber worked as an Organizer through Green Corps on the Think Outside the Bottle campaign to protect public water resources and decrease the use of bottled water. Amber also worked as an Organizer with the Minnesota Public Interest Research Group (MPIRG) on campaigns to take toxins out of childrens' products and on issues such as global warming, womens' initatives, affordable higher education, and transportation.

In her free time, Amber enjoys being outside, hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, skiing, canoeing and climbing. She is also an avid photographer that focuses on native Minnesota landscapes, cityscapes, and outdoor weddings.
